Changing system and application language

Windows 7

1. Save your data and close any open application.
2. Click the Start icon.
3. Click Panel Sterowania.
4. Click Zmień język wyświetlania (found in the Zegar, język i region group).
5. Under Język wyświetlania > Wybierz język wyświetlania, select English.
6. Click OK. Agree to log out by clicking Wyloguj teraz, afterwards log on again.

Windows 10

1. Save your data and close any open application.
2. Click the Windows icon.
3. Click the Settings icon (labelled Ustawienia).
4. Click Czas i język, then select Region i język.
5. Under Języki, select English (United Kingdom) and click Ustaw jako domyślny.
   (If you stay with us on a daily basis for a longer period of time, another language pack can be installed for your convenience; ask the laboratory coordinator as administrator privileges are required for this action).
6. Sign out (click the Windows icon, then the User icon, then select Wyloguj or Sign out), afterwards sign in again.

LibreOffice

1. Save your files if any are open.
2. From the menu, select Narzędzia > Opcje.
3. Select Ustawienia języka > Języki.
4. From the Interfejs użytkownika drop-down list, select Angielski (brytyjski) for British English or another language of your choice.
5. Click OK. Agree to restart the application by clicking Zrestartuj teraz.
6. The application should restart automatically, this time using the language you selected.

Other software

• Mozilla Firefox: Click the Menu icon (or press F10 and open Narzędzia) and select Opcje. Under Język i wygląd > Język, open the drop-down list and select Wyszukaj więcej języków…. Open Wybierz język do dodania…, select Angielski (Wielka Brytania) for British English or another language of your choice, click Dodaj, make sure it became the first on the list (otherwise, select it and move up by clicking W górę) and click OK. Click the Apply and Restart button to restart the application.
• GNU Octave: From the menu, select Edit > Preferences. In the General tab, from the Language list, select the language of your choice, click OK. Select File > Exit and start Octave again.
